National Sports University
National Sports University (NSU), Imphal, established in 2018, is India’s first central university dedicated to sports education and training. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs focusing on sports science, coaching, and sports management. Admissions
- Eligibility:
- UG programs like B.Sc. Sports Coaching and BPES: 10+2 qualification with participation in state/district/college-level sports.
- PG programs like M.Sc. Sports Coaching, MA Sports Psychology: Relevant bachelor’s degree (minimum 50%) and sports participation.
- Admission is merit-based, involving an entrance exam, physical fitness test, and/or skill proficiency evaluation.
- Application Process:
- Apply online through the NSU official portal.
- Complete registration, fill in the application form, upload necessary documents, and submit the application online.
Courses and Fees
- Undergraduate Programs:
- B.Sc. Sports Coaching (Specialisations: Archery, Athletics, etc.): 3 years.
- BPES (Physical Education and Sports): 3 years.
- Postgraduate Programs:
- M.Sc. Sports Coaching (Specialisations: Athletics, Badminton, etc.): 2 years.
- MA Sports Psychology: 2 years.
- M.Sc. Applied Sports Nutrition: 2 years.
- Fee Structure:
- UG programs: Approx. ₹40,000 annually.
- PG programs: Approx. ₹50,000 annually.
- Fees may vary based on course and additional charges for facilities like hostels.
