Introduction

Bhattadev University, established in 2019, is located in Pathsala, Assam. It was formed by upgrading Bajali College under the Assam Act No. XXXVI of 2017. Named after the 16th-century Assamese scholar Bhattadev, the university focuses on humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and commerce. Spread across 16 acres, the campus boasts modern infrastructure, including laboratories, a library, hostels, sports facilities, and IT resources.

Admission Process:

  1. Undergraduate (UG) Admissions: Based on merit in qualifying examinations. Courses include BA, BSc, and BCom.
  2. Postgraduate (PG) Admissions: Based on performance in graduation and/or departmental entrance tests. Programs include MA, MSc, and MCom.
  3. PhD Programs: Require a valid research proposal and may involve departmental interviews or tests.

Courses and Fees

  • Undergraduate:
    • BA (Humanities & Social Sciences): ₹2,160 per year
    • BSc (Science Streams): ₹2,520 per year
  • Postgraduate:
    • MA/MSc (Various Disciplines): ₹21,600 per year
  • Other Programs: Diploma and certificate courses are also offered in select fields.

Placements:

The university has a placement cell, though placements are still developing. Students are encouraged to apply for internships and off-campus opportunities. Skill development workshops, summer training, and partnerships with industries are in place to enhance employability.
