Central Sanskrit University
Central Sanskrit University (CSU), New Delhi, is one of India’s most prominent institutions for the study of Sanskrit, established in 1970. Initially known as Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, it was upgraded to a central university in 2020. CSU offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs focused on Sanskrit, Indian culture, and related disciplines. It is recognized by the UGC and NCTE and has earned an NAAC A++ accreditation.
Admissions
Admissions to most courses are based on merit, with the university accepting scores from the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Courses available include BA in Shastri, MA in Acharya, B.Ed (Shiksha Shastri), M.Ed (Shiksha Acharya), and doctoral programs. The university also offers specialized diplomas in areas like Yoga and Ayurveda

While the placement rates are not very high compared to other universities, CSU offers placements through its dedicated cell. The median salary for undergraduate placements was around INR 1.8 lakh, while postgraduate placements saw a median salary of INR 2.4 lakh.
Infrastructure and Facilities
CSU boasts a rich infrastructure with world-class research labs, a library holding over 28,000 books, modern auditoriums, sports facilities, hostels for both boys and girls, and a cafeteria.
