Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Sambalpur, established in 1956 by the Odisha Government, is a prominent government university accredited by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Originally known as the University College of Engineering, it became VSSUT in 2009.   • Postgraduate (M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc): M.Tech in various specializations like VLSI Design, Robotics, and Water Resources Engineering is offered.   • B.Tech: Approximately INR 45,640 per semester for regular students in disciplines like Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical Engineering. For self-financed students, the fee is higher​.
  • M.Tech: The average fee is around INR 85,740 for a 2-year course​.
  • MCA: Around INR 1,20,540 for the 3-year course.
Hostel fees are approximately INR 14,000 per year, and additional charges like Alumni fees and Degree issuance fees apply​
